COMMUNITY GROUPS
CALEB GROUP
The Seniors group is run by UCKG HelpCentre volunteers. It holds special events throughout the year. These include dinners, dances, quiz competitions and outings so there is always something for members and guests to look forward to.
The group caters people aged 50 and above, and involves them in various activities within and outside the HelpCentres.
RAHAB
If you or someone you know is a victim of any forms of abuse, help is available. The RAHAB group meets privately, which provides the opportunity for all women to share their feelings, experiences and fears with others. In doing so, confidential advice is given, with special emphasis on gaining strength and self-esteem.
PATIENT CARE GROUP
Patient Care is a group of generous minded people who have volunteered to lessen the burden of illness on patients and their families by extending the hand of friendship and support. On request, volunteers provide company and a listening ear. They make regular visits to patients in hospitals, hospices, nursing homes or their own homes.
The Patient Care group also offers prayers for the sick, but only with the full agreement of those concerned. UCKG HelpCentre as a whole believe that prayer can contribute to a sick person’s recovery, alongside normal medical care.
PT FORCE
The UCKG has groups for the children such as CBC (Children’s biblical centre) and PT Force (Pre-teen force). The aim of these groups is to provide Christian education for children and advice for pre-teens, in a dynamic and engaging way and, also, give support and guidance to parents/guardians, on how to educate their children in the ways of God.
Our aim is to form this generation and the ones to come, to be conscious of their values and responsibilities.
RESCUE OF DIGNITY
The R.O.D. group provides physical and spiritual support to inmates and families nationwide.
HELPLINE
The call centre handles calls year round providing support and assistance to people from all walks of life.
